August 9th Tentative start for Comstock Work

Summit Township is scheduled to start work planned for the west side of Comstock Street August 9th. The township will be opening the drain ditches along the road to address the problem with water flow and flooding of the roadway. Letters were sent to residents in April 2021 informing them of the prospective project and advising of the option to install covered pipes. Please contact the office with any questions or concerns. 814-382-5058.

Summit Township Annual Homecoming Picnic

AT THIS TIME THERE IS  NO HOMECOMING PICNIC PLANNED FOR THIS YEAR.

The Annual Homecoming Picnic is normally held each year on the last Sunday in June at Gibson Park with festivities beginning at 1:00.  In the past meat, rolls, and beverage were provided and you must bring your own table service and a tureen dish to share.

This invitation is extended to everyone and participation is encouraged.  A basket raffle is conducted by the Summit Township Women’s Club.  Proceeds are used to benefit the Township’s Food Pantry.

Come and enjoy a day of fun, games and meeting with friends and neighbors.  Hope to see you there!
